Hania Amir said that unfortunately men are taught to hide their feelings. Actress Hania Aamir stressed the importance of men’s mental health and said that today it is not considered wrong to talk about mental health, but unfortunately, men are taught from childhood to be tough and hide their emotions.

Often the expectations of men and their traditional role in society are such that men hesitate to talk to anyone about their mental state.

Traditionally in Pakistan, men are sent out of the home to earn money and are seen as strong, and influential, and are taught from childhood that it is okay to cry in front of anyone and have emotions. Not expressing it, which often results in men becoming depressed in the future.

In this regard, actress Hania Aamir pointed out that men also have the right to express emotions and feelings, but unfortunately, they are not taught to do so.

Hania Aamir shared a picture with actors Gauhar Rashid and Ali Rehman Khan on Instagram and spoke in detail about the importance of men’s mental health.

He wrote in the caption ‘Nowadays it is not considered wrong to talk about mental health but unfortunately men are taught from childhood to be tough and hide their emotions.’

Hania Amir said she is lucky to have met some great people but feels sad that she can’t talk about her mental health due to societal pressures, many men open up about their feelings. Don’t feel comfortable doing it.

The actress said, “This is ‘Men’s Health’ awareness month and I am concerned for men who are facing mental health issues, who are hesitant to seek help from others, who are on their minds. There are negative thoughts and those who are going through therapy.

Addressing all those men suffering from mental health problems, he said ‘I am sorry that in society you are taught to hide your emotions, we need to talk about it and create awareness.’

Remember that November is Men’s Health Awareness Month which aims to highlight and create awareness about various mental health issues, which mainly affect men.

During Men’s Health Awareness Month, various organizations organize campaigns and events in which apart from men’s mental health, men’s health is also discussed regarding dangerous diseases like cancer.

According to the report of Independent Urdu, Pakistan Medical Association says that in 2021, 20 percent of people worldwide suffered from depression, while in Pakistan, this number is 34 percent. There are only 500 psychiatrists for 22 million people in Pakistan. Mental illnesses are either not treated on time or not at all and 90% of people with mental illnesses are not treated at all.
